Educational Support Awards

Applicant Process & Requirements:

  1. Application MUST be completed by their respective deadlines above. Recipients will be notified a week after deadlines or as soon as administratively possible
  2. Applicant must be a current APIC member and San Diego & Imperial County Chapter (057) member or a consistent participant/contributor to the chapter. Join here.
  3. If selected, the applicant is strongly encouraged to present for 5-10 minutes at a following chapter meeting on their education experience, lessons learned, etc. Applicant could arrange with the Chapter Board as to which meeting they would like to present at.

Education Award Schedule:

  • 2022 award recipients = expires June 30, 2023
  • 2023 award recipients = expires June 30, 2024

  • Cheryl Richardson Leg Day Award

    Cheryl was a much loved and respected Infection Preventionist in California who held many leadership positions at the local, state, and national level. She helped create the annual CACC Legislative Day where representatives from each of the 12 APIC chapters in CA visit the state capitol in Sacramento to help advocate for and educate on Infection Prevention.
