Join Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla, San Diego’s first Magnet Hospital as Manager, Epidemiology and lead a Quality team of 15 along with 2 Infection Prevention for our growing campus. Reporting to the Senior Director you will have oversight of all licensed areas in our large campus and will lead the infection previous efforts for our new Tower scheduled to open in 2024. As Manager, Epidemiology, you will interact frequently at the system level in the Infection Disease Council and along with Infectious Control Doctors to implement system wide initiatives at the La Jolla site. You will work on Performance Improvement targets and interact with clinical managers to reduce hospital infections. Be charged with implementing and overseeing the operations of the clinical epidemiology and infection control program at assigned La Jolla. You will be charged with evaluating and supporting compliance with infection control policies, procedures and standards. In collaboration with corporate leadership, evaluates and applies new and developing trends relevant in a healthcare environment. We invite you to join our highly dynamic team of Infection Control as an Infection Control Coordinator. The Infection Control Coordinator is responsible for facilitating and coordinating the infection surveillance, prevention and control program, promoting safe, effective infection control practices and for assuring facility infection control compliance with regulating agencies. Additional duties may include assisting with patient safety and risk management activities, performing investigational reviews, collecting performance improvement data, and reviewing clinical trial studies. This is a Full-Time position with a Monday-Friday schedule. This position does not require weekends or holidays. This position is located at Scripps Mercy Hospital Chula Vista
